Credit Manager, Wavetronix LLC

I keep a glitter-covered sign at my desk that says, “You can never be overdressed or overeducated” and I am passionate about both.
I started almost nine years ago at Wavetronix, a traffic radar detection company in Springville. I was hired to help with expense reports as the sales department handled AR. I was asked to help with the uncollectible accounts. Once I got those cleared up and proved myself, I was given control of all collections for the company as well as setting new customers up.
I grew up in Payson and went to Snow College in Business. I transferred to BYU as an Accounting major and then switched to History after one semester! While I love history, I have always worked in Finance Departments. I have worked in cash applications, accounts payable, sales tax, deferred revenue, cost accounting and accounts receivable.
Wavetronix is enthusiastic about learning and development so in the fall of 2020, I signed up for the NACM’s Principals of Business Credit. I kept signing up for classes until I achieved all three credit designations. I completed the CBA in 2021, the CBF in 2022 and with the help of 250 flash cards, I passed the CCE test in 2023!
The first NACM destination I attended was the Western Credit Conference in San Diego in 2022 and couldn’t wait for the next one! I followed up with Credit Congress in Dallas and Western Credit in Salt Lake in 2023, and Credit Congress in Las Vegas and Western Credit in Tacoma in 2024. I try to attend every NACM event that my schedule allows as well as serving on the ICEL and activity committees.
I have two kids, and I love reading, baking cookies, swimming, collecting PEZ and printing photos. I also love attending concerts by bands I didn’t get to see in the 90s!
